What the score measures

The draw is honest 8-bit readability: a dark swamp stage, chunky vehicles, and a time bar that flashes when you are about to cook. Death kinds (splat, splash, time) are clear enough that you know whether you clipped a bumper or missed a log. Touch D-pad and swipe both work; keyboard is still the precision tool. Continues keep level pressure instead of dumping you to splash, which is the right call for an unblocked session. It will not replace a dedicated Frogger PCB with authentic timing tables. It will replace the five-minute tab you meant to close.

How to push a personal best

Clear the road first with short hops and wait for gaps rather than diving between trucks. On the river, commit to a log or turtle pack early — lateral hops on water follow your pixel X, so do not drift off-screen. Watch diving turtles: if the shell is going under, hop off before the dive finishes. Bank side pads first when the center is crowded; a denied occupied pad costs a life. Grab the fly when it lands on an open pad, escort the lady for the carry bonus, and take the heart only if you are under the life cap. Continues are for a personal-best level, not every splat. Five pads beat a greedy mid-river chase.

If the high score vanished

Clearing site data, switching browsers, or using a private window starts a new local file. We cannot restore a score from our servers because it was never sent. Play again in the cabinet and rebuild the run.
