Meteors high score

GamesArsenal does not host a global leaderboard. Your best run for Meteors lives in this browser’s localStorage. That is the right contract for an unblocked HTML5 cabinet: no account, no cloud rank, a score you can beat on the next commute.

What the score measures

The draw is honest: threat-lines, a readable HUD of ammo pips, and timers for SHIELD and ORDNANCE so you never guess what is running. Nearest-battery fire is the right default; manual select is for saving a flank you cannot afford to miss. Splitters are the personality — a dashed pink trail that becomes two problems. Touch hold-to-repeat is fair if you commit. It will not replace a dedicated vector-arcade cabinet with trackball and three buttons. It will replace a five-minute tab you meant to close.

How to push a personal best

Do not dump the Center battery on the first rock of a wave — Left and Right cover the wings, Center is the spare. Blast early and high so chain explosions eat a cluster. Save ORDNANCE for a splitter pack, not a singleton. A shield over three cities is worth more than an EMP that clears an empty sky. If a battery dies, a repair crate can bring it back; if all three go dark with no crate falling, the wave is already over. Continues are for a personal-best wave. Cities are the trophy; leftover ammo is how greedy you were on the way up.

If the high score vanished

Clearing site data, switching browsers, or using a private window starts a new local file. We cannot restore a score from our servers because it was never sent. Play again in the cabinet and rebuild the run.
